Karachi sizzles at 42 °C in another day of extreme heatwave – Doctors advise residents to stay indoors
KARACHI(ARY New s): Temperature in Sindh ’s provincial capital and surrounding areas reach ed 42°C by, according to the Met Department, while as m an y as 12 people h ave already been hospitalized after suffering heatstroke a day ago.
According to Pakistan Met Department, severe heat wave will continue in Sindh including Karachi during next 24-36 hours.The temperature at noon in Karachi was recorded 39 degrees Celsius an d it reach ed 42 °C after four hours by 4pm .
Meanwhile, scattered rain /dust-thundershowers expected in Mirpurkh as, Hyderabad, Sukkur,
Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, while at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara,
Peshawar, Mardan , Kohat , Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Zhob, Kallat divisions, Islamabad, FATA,
Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.The highest maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 46 °C in Turbat, 35 - 37 43°C in Karachi, Sibbi, and Lasbella, while 42°C in Chorr and Thata.
